Amazon.com Product Description
A great choice for beginning bike riders, Bell Bellino bike helmet provides colorful style and peace-of-mind protection to your toddler. The Bellino comes in two fun designs–orange monster trucks for boys and pink teddy bears for girls. It offers the same sturdy construction and design as Bell’s adult helmets, and it features a built-in visor for squint-free rides. The SmartFit system helps to ensure a correct, comfy fit and extended rear coverage provides extra protection. Other features include a PinchGuard buckle for no-pinch buckling and eight top vents to keep your child’s head cool and comfortable. It’s sized for toddlers with heads measuring 19 to 20.5 inches in diameter.

Fitting a Helmet
Here are some guidelines to getting the best fit for a bike helmet.

  • Eyes: The rim of the helmet should be up to 1 to 2 finger widths above the eyebrows
  • Ears: The straps should form a V under just beneath the ear lobe
  • Mouth: When the rider opens her mouth, the buckle should feel snug on the chin and the helmet should hug the head

Before using the helmet, stand in front of the mirror and grab the helmet with both hands and twist it to the left and to the right. If the helmet fits right, the skin on the forehead will move as the helmet moves. If it does not, then the helmet is too loose and is unsafe for use and you need to start over.About Bell
More world champions have worn Bell Helmets than all other helmet brands combined. From Grand Prix racing through the Indy 500 to Olympic cycling, Bell helmets have played a vital role in protecting sportsmen and women for nearly 50 years. Bell began as a small auto parts store in a suburb of Los Angeles. Growing under the leadership of Roy Richter, Bell became a leader in safety equipment for auto racing, motorcycling, and then bicycling. His commitment to creating great product through a close connection with the sport, along with his trust of and care for the people who worked for him, turned Bell from a one-man operation into a multi-million dollar enterprise. His legacy lives on today in Bell’s commitment to racing, quality and innovation.

Great helmet4
Little big for my daughter’s head but we adjusted the straps to help. It has been great in protecting her when riding her bikes. She just turned 2 in November 2008 so this has been a great help and she loves riding her bikes etc.
